Collection Highlight | Say "halo" to our resin friends

Halo & Happy Sunday. The Halo collection is our latest venture into an entirely new territory because it meant adapting our ideas to work with a new material - resin! While not totally unfamiliar to us, we've learnt so much more through the process of designing this collection and are excited to share the results that come from months of fine-tuning our process.

The Halo Collection supports two main products...so far. We've created a coaster set (2) and a magnet pack (4) that we believe are ~swoon worthy~ . Each product is a combination of black & pearl tones with some taupe & amber colours inbetween, set in a vibrant golden ring that we like to refer to as the "halo". When the light hits just right, a gorgeous shimmer is revealed and these casts truly come to life!

This series was created as a means to brighten up our office space. Although these products can be used anywhere, we always seem to have a mug of coffee and a whack of loose notes scattered across the desk that needed a solution. Sure, any coaster or organizational substitute would do but we wanted something that would really pop & compliment wherever our work takes us. Enter the Halo Collection!

The design for this collection was inspired by some light reading on the 22-degree halo of the sun and/or moon that popped up in our feed one late night. The 22-degree halo is a natural phenomenon of a circle of light formed around the sun or moon. Clouds hang in the surrounding area hosting millions of tiny ice crystals that refract light completely dependent on your orientation and perspective. You can stand side-by-side with someone and have a totally different experience in viewing the halo. So, similar to rainbows, halos are unique to each person that witnesses them. The concept sort of felt like it fit the overall look of our new products while still celebrating their handmade quality + uniqueness. So we immediately knew we'd found our collection's name.

When you use these coasters or magnets, we hope it allows you to pause and smile for a moment as you take in your surroundings. Or pehaps they simply organize your ideas and protect your furniture. C'est la vie!

Stay Creative,

TLA
