From harbour-centric Deep Cove to vast Vancouver Island here are some businesses to fall in love with.

People often say the best way to the heart is through the stomach and with donuts from Honey’s, we’re inclined to agree. Fluffy and delicately sweet you can enjoy these sinful desserts with a stellar view of the fresh glacial water, nestled between the mountains of Deep Cove. Although their sandwich list is seemingly infinite & their drink menu is on par, it’s the donuts that attract the lineup down the block. Trust us, good things to those who wait!

Whether you’re looking for main character romance via novel or to aptly gift your s/o the world in the form of an atlas this Valentine’s, Wendel’s stocks its shelves with beautiful editions of the classics and obscure titles alike. Situated in a historic town that we obsessively revisit every few months this bookshop could not feel more in its element. Not to mention their double chocolate brownies that are just as dreamy.

Charge your camera battery & free up that phone storage because this art installation space is photo-worthy. Quite the popular TikTok trend in the past year, Moon & Back Gallery contains 16 rooms, each styled to a unique theme and Season 3 has just rolled out! It’s such a fun way to spend an afternoon with someone special, ogling over the colourful combination of mirrors & lights.
Government Street, Victoria
Does anything say “retail romance” quite like some artisanal quality accessories from this family-run ode to all things Ireland? From jewelry and clothing to teacups and gag gifts this is a great spot to find something unexpected and completely one-of-a-kind. Much of their roster includes handmade products using traditionally cured materials. A gift from this shop could last a lifetime!

When it comes to small businesses that pack a punch, Antique Alley comes to mind. Initially overwhelming at a glance, but teeming with treasures upon a closer look. This small corner lot features all varieties of movie props and vintage goodies to show your home some love. We always find an exciting novelty item or interesting home decor piece; like the enormous teal glass floor vase shown below!
