A Week of Art Prompts

If you’ve hit an artistic road-block or are looking to expand your creative skillset, prompts can be the optimal recipe for challenging the boundaries of your imagination. You needn’t be the most seasoned artist to enjoy a good prompt, in fact this is a great practice for getting started in any new visual art medium. From illustration to pottery we’ve compiled a list of conceptual motivators to guide you through your next artistic venture.

Join us for a week of daily prompts, each prefaced with a central theme to inspire the foundation of your project, key colour-ways and a unique stylistic element to break you out of your creative comfort zone.

Tip: Read the prompt fully, close your eyes and take note of the images, thoughts and/or feelings evoked when you read the thematic word. Themes are ambiguous to allow for the freedom of interpretation. The suggested colours and stylistic elements are stimulative parameters for manifesting your vision.
