What is avocado dye? Here at The Levend Art we work with many different mediums to best reflect our quirky, ecclectic and experimental designs, including using natural pigments to dye some components of our textile products. For example, our pillows often have a knit face and an organic cotton backing. For the cotton fabric we occassionaly work with a natural dye to achieve a unique finish to any piece. Avocado dye is a process of boiling avocado skins and pits to release a natural dusty pink/mauve pigment. We first treat our fabrics with a natural mordant which is used to retain the colour of the avocados before the dyeing process. To learn more about how we work with natural pigments be sure to follow our blog.

How do you choose the pricing for your products?Since we offer a variety of handmade items we generally offer 2 price point options per product category. The base price for most of our designs encompasses our standard artworks; or in other words designs that don’t involve added embellishments & require detailed or custom work. Our second price point is reserved for those specialty designs. On occasion we will have ‘limited editions’ or other highly stylized ‘Paper Products’ that will be priced differently according to a specific quantity - once they’re gone, they’re gone. The reason for this is because they involve more hands-on work. Our prices are determined by how much the materials cost, the design itself, as well as the labour to maintain & manage your order. Our ‘Home Decor’ products are evaluated on a case by case basis as we stock different objects with each shop update We also offer free content in the form of our blog & digital downloads pages, providing files & templates that guide you through home decor craft projects designed by TLA.

What do I do if I receive a defective order? We at The Levend Art take great care in the packaging of our products, but if you do receive a defective product we would require you to take a clear photo indicating the damaged product still in its packaging and e-mail it to thelevendart@gmail.com to best assess if you qualify for a refund and/or exchange. Due to Covid-19 we will not be accepting returns on items that have been removed from their original packaging and do not include refunds for shipping & handling fees. All discounted/sale items are final and cannot be exchanged or refunded at this time.
-
How long does shipping take? The majority of our products are created in small batches and may take anywhere up to 3 business days for your item(s) to be received by the appropriate postal facilities. At this point in time The Levend Art is only able to offer Canada Post standard shipping & handling services within Canada. Depending on which province you live in, the weight of the item(s) selected and Covid-19 delays, delivery times may vary. As per Canada Post: Local: up to 2 business days Regional: 3-5 business days Our online shop started as a labour of love and a desire to curate the content of our lives, so while we love our products we don't suggest using this site to purchase last minute gifts as there is no guarantee that your order will arrive earlier than as suggested above. *Due to current conditions we've noticed a delay in receiving shipments and it may take up to 5-8 business days for your order, specifically parcels, to arrive.

Do you ship worldwide?Currently TLA is only able to ship within Canada with the hope to expand to the U.S. in the future.
